In contingency, Grupo Solmar stands in solidarity with collaborators
Grupo Solmar spoke to Los Cabos a la Carta, how they are coping with this crisis and how they are supporting their collaborators.
They currently have a workforce of 2,400 people:
"The same that to this day have not been unsubscribed or plans to unsubscribe any, at this time, we want to be in solidarity with them, just as they have been with us and have built Solmar and have made that difference in our brand".
He invited all other companies, hotels and developments, hotel chains, business owners, to show solidarity with their collaborators:
"It is time to show the human face and our best gesture is towards them, working together in this difficult time, being with them."
He said that almost 85% are at home, following protocols and security measures.
It considers Los Cabos to be a strategic point and once the flights are resumed, tourism can be reactivated.
On the other hand, he considers that there is also a need for more support from the federation, as has been the case in other countries:
"Where there have been incentives, there have been supports for businesses, there have been lines of credit, there have been subsidies for taxes, etc., and that has helped to maintain the economy ... Where the total decision of this problem fits is in the federation, diagonal President of the Republic and his team, I think they have not yet dimensioned the problem ... ".
