SETUES will certify “Punto Limpio” to the Los Cabos Hotel Association
Baja California Sur is preparing with firm steps for the reopening of the tourism industry, said the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, after announcing that the Los Cabos Hotel Association began with the Certification process for the “Punto Limpio” quality seal.
The official explained that with the participation of 360 collaborators in the tourism industry, more than 80 hotels will be trained to obtain this badge, which is granted by the federal SECTUR and endorses the hygiene and safety of tourism services.
In this sense, he pointed out that derived from the pandemic caused by Covid-19, the international market presents new challenges and new demands regarding the sanitary security of destinations, so it is necessary for BCS to carry out actions that provide certainty to visitors, as is "Punto Limpio".
At the same time that he emphasized that the government headed by Carlos Mendoza, works on the design of protocols aligned with those issued by the federal authorities and in accordance with international regulations, to protect the health of tourists and citizens once the industry reopens. .
“BCS has a safe and responsible tourist activity; South Californians can be sure that their well-being will not be put at risk, ”added the head of SETUES.
Araiza López recognized the commitment and interest of the association's president, Mauricio Salicrup, to join forces with the State Government to restart operations in the tourism sector and thereby reactivate the South Californian economy.
