The Director of Marketing and Operations of Integral Port Administration (API), Carlos Rosales, held a meeting with the CEO of Baja Ferries, Ariel Pozo, and executives of the shipping company to launch the new Santa Rosalía-Guaymas route on November 29. , with the cargo and passenger ship "Balandra Star", which will make six trips per week for the arrival of more national tourists and improve the marketing of local products to the interior of the country.

"To achieve the economic and tourist recovery of the entire South Californian territory, it is essential to strengthen all communication routes in the state, and in this sense, given our insular condition, maritime connectivity plays a very important role," said the secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López.

Similarly, the secretary of tourism thanked Baja Ferries for their collaboration in the tasks and strategies, also recognized the work and commitment of API to optimize the South Californian ports, highlighting that this agency will invest 10.1 million pesos in infrastructure and improvement of port services in Santa Rosalía.

Finally, the CEO of Baja Ferries said: “We are aware of the positive impact that the opening of this route will bring to the region, not only commercially by boosting the agricultural and mining industry, but also by providing connectivity to the families of Baja California Sur and Sonora; Baja Ferries reaffirms its commitment to commit to economic development in both States ”.
