SETUES meets with organizers of the "Baja 1000"
The State Government continues with the reactivation of the tourism industry and in this sense the realization of international events plays a fundamental role, said the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, after holding a meeting with representatives of Score International, the company responsible for organizing the Baja 1000 off road race.
The secretary indicated that for the current administration it is a priority for tourism to achieve its recovery in all segments, the sports market being one of the most relevant for the entity, since it generates important economic spillovers and gives great projection to the South Californian scenarios.
The Baja 1000 brings together just over 60 thousand fans, more than 400 teams from different countries, as well as more than 150 media from the five continents that provide coverage throughout the journey, hence the importance of this race being held .
“From SETUES we will work to do everything possible to lay the foundations that contribute to events such as the Baja 1000 being held. Our main interest is to pay for BCS to recover its tourism potential, and with it the reestablishment of the value chain linked to this noble activity, "added the head of SETUES.
Finally, Luis Araiza ratified his commitment to continue helping to strengthen tourism in the State, in an orderly, safe and responsible manner in the face of the health emergency.
