The Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability, Luis Humberto Araiza López, said in an interview for Los Cabos a la Carta that Los Cabos and Baja California Sur are at a great time for their tourist and economic recovery, as air connectivity has been strengthened with the arrival of new direct flights from the United States, as well as the new maritime route from Guaymas to Santa Rosalía.

"American Airlines is positioning itself strongly in Baja California Sur and is becoming a very important player and business partner for everyone," said the secretary.

The secretary affirmed that Baja California Sur suffered great damage due to the pandemic, however it has been able to recover even faster than other destinations in the country, for which he considers that it is due to the joint work of the government with businessmen to obtain the certifications that they demonstrate certainty and confidence for tourists and investors. Also, he mentioned that the state has 1200 companies certified with "Clean Point" and the seal from the World Tourism Council "Safe Travel", so the industry stands with great advantage.

Our state is one of the most resilient, as stated by the secretary regarding the ability to adapt it has had for everything that happened during the health emergency, such as the case of Interjet Airline, which has ceased operations for the remainder of the year , and that although it is not one of the great commercial partners of the destination and could affect, BCS continues advancing with optimism and recovering what was lost.
