Baja California Sur, a national leader in economic growth
Baja California Sur stood out at the national level as the leading entity in economic growth during the last 5 years, reflected in the creation of more than 50 thousand formal jobs according to INEGI data, reported the head of the Ministry of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability, Fernando Ojeda Aguilar.
The official explained that this important result is mainly due to the momentum sustained by the tourism industry, adding that 1 in 4 hotel rooms were built in the current administration.
The secretary referred to the actions that were carried out to strengthen construction, mining, fishing, the countryside, as well as commerce, which he undoubtedly said, paid for BCS to have this exponential growth.
Finally, Ojeda Aguilar indicated that in the face of the pandemic, Baja California Sur is one of the States that has shown a greater economic recovery, registering an increase of 25.5% during the July-September 2020 period, based on the Quarterly Indicator of the INEGI's State Economic Activity (ITAEE).
