To achieve this designation, FITURCA successfully led an effort to achieve Sharecare health security verification with Forbes Travel Guide, a universal standard among hotels and resorts in the region.

To welcome travelers, transmitting confidence in the hotels in the region, and promote the economic vitality of Los Cabos, the Tourism Trust has partnered with Sharecare and Forbes Travel Guide to launch a local initiative to promote and supports each facility in earning Sharecare Health Safety Verification.

Hotels earn this designation by continually verifying their sanitary protocols against more than 360 expert validated standards to minimize the risk and impact of public health events such as COVID-19. As a result of the regional effort led by the Tourism Trust, to date, most of the hotels within its coverage area have achieved this verification.

Visitors and travel agents can also search for hotels and resorts with the VERIFIED ™ badge in Los Cabos by visiting forbestravelguide.com/verified. To date, more than 500 hotels, resorts, and locations in 50 countries have achieved Sharecare and Forbes Travel Guide sanitary health verification. However, Los Cabos becomes the first VERIFIED ™ destination, reflecting the locally led effort to make health security verification a regional standard and the successful achievement of the VERIFIED ™ badge for most properties within Its limits.
