After eight continuous days of cinema both at home and in person, the Los Cabos International Film Festival came to an end with an emotional online meeting between its directors, Alejandra Paulín and Maru Garzón, as well as its press coordinators and organizers with the contestants from the six categories that accompany this incredible event.

 

In the Official Selection - Los Cabos Competition the winners were:

- Los Cabos Competition Award: The Noise of Engines (Canada-Quebec), by Philippe Grégoire. Nobu and Ardea deliver $ 200,000.00 MXN in cash to the director of the film.

- Los Cabos Competition Cinecolor Award: Strawberry Mansion (United States), by Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney. Cinecolor México awards a prize of $ 730,000.00 MXN in image post-production services for the next independent feature film from the film's production company or producers.

The long-awaited and acclaimed category of La Baja Inspira:

- Los Cabos Press Award: La recua (Mexico-United States), by Trudi Angell and Darío Higuera Meza. The Center for Studies in Communication Sciences - CECC awards a prize of $ 30,000.00 MXN in cash to the directors of the film.

In the category - Films in Development of the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund

- CTT EXP & Rentals Award: You want to come the night (Mexico), by Gabriel Mariño. $ 1,284,000.00 MXN in film equipment rental for four weeks of filming.

- Chemistry Award: The night already wants to come (Mexico), by Gabriel Mariño. $ 946,000.00 MXN in various image post-production services: 90 hours of color correction, digital intermediate, deliveries, DCP and backups.

- PIANO Award: In flight (Mexico) by Daniela Uribe. $ 50,000.00 MXN for first and second films, in order to promote the commercial premiere of a project with the distributor of your choice; and a letter of intent for its distribution in Mexico by PIANO, with the aim of supporting the consolidation of the financial scheme during the development stage.

- Cinecolor Mexico Award - Shalalá - FirePit: Los Rios (Canada-Mexico), by Ryan Fyfe Brown and Dale Bailey. $ 400,000.00 MXN in image post-production services. $ 500,000.00 MXN in audio post-production services.

- ArtKingdom Award: The invisible border (Mexico), by Mariana Flores Villalba. $ 497,000.00 MXN for the development of a sales presentation, a teaser of up to 45 seconds, a trailer of up to 2 minutes, and the concept and design of a poster for the selected project.
