Robert De Niro and an array of stars arrived for the start of the 8th Los Cabos International Film Festival
Acclaimed actor Robert De Niro and engaging generation of movie stars, producers and deal makers all converged on the Los Cabos Cultural Pavilion for the gala event and red carpet inauguration of the 8th Los Cabos International Film Festival.
De Niro’s presence had to do chiefly with the films Latin American premiere, The Iirishman which deals in to America’s 1950’s post WWII era, where mobsters, the underworld, gangsters, respect and handshake deals are masterfully engaged by Martin Scorsese with costar performances by Joe himself.
Al Pacino as the powerfully growing teamsters union head Jimmy Hoffa.
Along with the many seasoned actors that bring to life this epic American crime drama, the films estimated 200 million dollar production budget that took over eight months to shoot, received World Premiere honors, just a few weeks ago on September 27th,, and immediately became the main course of the opening activities for the 57th edition of the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Centre.
Performances as well as the carefully designed and executed photograph, which spans a 40 year period in history, was methodically accomplished by Mexican born Director of Photography Rodrigo Prieto, who became an essential component for the films receiving rave reviews by the critics, naming it Scorsese’s best picture since Goodfellas and naming the The Iirishman one of his best films ever.

As he comfortably traversed the Red Carpet, De Niro talked about the importance of film festivals.
Robert De Niro, Actor: "It's always good to show movies to different audiences, that's the point of film festivals, so people can watch movies that they don't usually see because they can't get distribution."
The Festival will present 42 films between November 13th and 17th including: Green section 5 films, After Dark, and Mexico First 5 films,
There are 14 films in the official Los Cabos Competition and Spotlight.
Her Story is the name of the newest section, designed to enhance awareness and help create more work opportunities for relevant women to participate in Mexican cinema, be it in front and behind cameras, especially in the Creation of stories with the women’s point of view and values consider.
This is a movement and on this occasion spearheaded by film Rome’s actress Yalitza Aparicio who was much admired by the public during the inauguration evening.

Ludwika Paleta, Christian Chávez, Christopher Uckerrmann, Rebeca Jones and Leonardo Ortizgris were part of the celebrities signing autographs and giving interviews to the more than 200 members of the press present for the 8th memorable and fun inauguration red carpet event.
