The cleanest beaches in Mexico are in Los Cabos
From July 14 to 18 of this year, personnel from the Mexican Institute of Normalization and Certification A.C. (IMNC) visited the Santa María, El Chileno, Palmilla, Las Viudas and Acapulquito beaches in the municipality of Los Cabos for their evaluation, resulting in exceptional ratings, with Playa El Chileno being the highest rated since it is at level 3 in the criteria of the NMX-AA-120-SCFI-2016 Standard, this being the highest level of its kind, pointing out that it has raised its quality standards in both cleaning and services. The other beaches are on level two.
The evaluations were carried out in the company of collaborators from the Municipal Coordination of the Federal Terrestrial Maritime Zone in Los Cabos (ZOFEMAT), under the guidelines of the norm that establishes the requirements and specifications for the sustainability of beach quality, such as: quality water, solid waste, infrastructure, security, services and noise pollution.
Finally, the work carried out daily by the ZOFEMAT Los Cabos team has been recognized with the aim of ensuring that the beaches are in optimal conditions for the enjoyment of tourists and locals.
