Los Cabos to Host the Miss Universe Mexico 2026 Grand Final
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, is preparing to host one of the most anticipated nights on the national beauty pageant calendar. The Miss Universe Mexico 2026 grand final will take place on Saturday, August 29, in this tourist destination, where 32 contestants from across the country will compete for the crown and the right to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2026, to be held in Puerto Rico.
The official announcement was made by the reigning Miss Universe, Fátima Bosch (who also holds the title of Miss Universe Mexico 2025), during an appearance on the program *Sale el Sol*. Originally scheduled for August 22 in Mexico City, the organization changed both the date and the venue, selecting Los Cabos as the main stage.
The Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa, located on El Médano Beach in Cabo San Lucas, is serving as the official host venue. The delegates began arriving in mid-August for the pre-pageant activities, which include promotional events, interviews, the national costume competition, the preliminary round, the swimsuit competition (a new feature of this edition), and the grand final.
Fátima Bosch—the fourth Mexican woman to win the international Miss Universe title (after her victory in Thailand in November 2025)—will crown her successor alongside first runner-up Fernanda Vázquez. The new national queen will aim to maintain Mexico’s high standard of representation at the global pageant.
Beyond showcasing the contestants, the event seeks to boost tourism in Los Cabos by combining the destination’s natural desert and seaside beauty with the promotion of Mexican culture. Preliminary activities are taking place at various locations throughout the area, including experiences at Rancho Tierra Sagrada by Cabo Adventures.
With the arrival of the 32 state representatives, Los Cabos is already buzzing with anticipation for a week filled with glamour, talent, and competition, culminating in the selection of the woman who will carry Mexico’s colors to the 75th edition of Miss Universe.
