As of September 10, a new air route from Guadalajara to Los Cabos begins to operate by Aeroméxico, which adds to the 3 new American Airlines flights, which represents growth for the municipality.

"The decision to advance to level four in the epidemiological semaphore, allows to authorize the development of sport fishing by individuals, this will be a great boost for the reactivation of the economy of thousands of families who depend directly and indirectly on this sport activity -recreative ”, said the director of the Fund for the Protection of Marine Resources (FONMAR), Luis Antonio García Rodríguez, highlighting the importance of this decision, which was taken today by the State Committee on Health Safety in a session headed by the Governor Carlos Mendoza Davis with which, the entity will change from August 31 to level four of the epidemiological traffic light, which will give access to the reactivation of a series of activities with regulated capacity, and with the pertinent self-care measures.

In that sense, he stressed that derived from the collaboration with the State Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COEPRIS), it was established that in this case, the same protocols would be applied as for sport fishing service providers, complying with the measures of self-care and healthy distance, as well as with a capacity of 40 percent.

The official mentioned that the benefits that this measure will bring, multiply significantly among those who are related to this sector directly and indirectly, since it impacts captains, sailors, gas stations, fishing gear and souvenir shops, supermarkets, hardware stores , marinas and restaurants, among other economic activities.

Since last June 15, with capacity and protocols perfectly defined by COEPRIS and FONMAR, this activity was reactivated for service providers, which shows signs of a visible reactivation of the sector, mainly in the municipality of Los Cabos.
