Dieter Koschina, Owner and chef for Vilajoya Restaurant in Portugal awarded 3ed Michelin Star and is # 22 Best of the world.He was awarded his first Michelin star there in 1995. His guiding culinary philosophy is: “First the flavour, then the presentation. Federico Zanellato, Chef and Partner of NOMA Restaurant the #.1 Best restaurant in the world. He’s trained at the best restaurant in the world, Noma (in Copenhagen, Denmark) and also the three-hatted Attica in Melbourne.

Money raised by the event will be donated to the Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo Firefighters, The Los Cabos children foundation and the Red Cross.

Then a local favorite that is in San Jose the Wine & Art walk in the Art District in the heart of San Jose del Cabo. This evening you will try small bites and wine before choosing which restaurant’s wine pairing menu best fits your palate for than evening. On Friday December 5th it’s the Celebrity Chef Dine Around. The First International Civil Engineering Forum Los Cabos 2013 concluded at the Los Cabos International Convention Center. With an overall of 4,700 participants attending the three day forum.

The keynote presentation was by architect Eric Tomich, designer of the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai.
Eric Tomich is a Director in the Shanghai office of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP, Architects and Engineers. As an Architect, he has dedicated his SOM career to developing expertise in Architectural Project Delivery Process, Multidisciplinary Coordination, and Exterior Wall and Building Sciences Technology.

Who explained to the participants that SOM, the company he represents, has built a large number of the highest super-tall buildings in the world, including the Burj Khalifa which is the tallest one at 828mts (905.5 yards). Tomich pointed out that the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai was a very special project because the economic and development conditions were present to allow this building.

Before going into his conference architect Tomich said in an exclusive interview that even though he hadn’t seen much of Los Cabos he thinks it’s a beautiful place and said that our destination has a great opportunity to integrate the development of high quality projects with the natural environment of this area as is the case in other cities around the world like San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro.

Eric’s career portfolio of global projects includes the development of large scale high quality projects in the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, France, Portugal, Poland, Bahrain, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and China. He studied architecture at the University of California at Berkeley and is a registered architect in California USA and the United Kingdom, with active memberships in the AIA, RIBA, and NCARB.
