Many surprises were experienced during the third day of the International Tourism Fair held in Madrid, Spain in its 43rd edition.

Inaugurated by King Felipe and King Leticia of Spain, FITUR 2023 demonstrated the return of world tourism with the presence of 131 countries in a large space dedicated to one of the most important economic sectors: tourism.

During this fair, the Baja California Sur pavilion was opened with the presence of the federal tourism secretary Miguel Torruco Marques, as well as the Mexican ambassador to Spain Quirino Ordaz and of course, great exponents of Los Cabos at a stand that brought together art and the best of the tourist service that defines the destination as one of the most outstanding in recent years.

One of the most outstanding aspects, without a doubt, was the confirmation of a second direct flight from Madrid to Los Cabos, in a second edition that promises the arrival of at least 4,000 European tourists to the destination through the Avoris airline.

This was how it was announced, in an event full of dance and color, accompanied by the music of Arturo Carmona where the displays of Los Cabos and Avoris stood out, drawing the attention of those present at Florida Park in Madrid.

The Secretary of Tourism and Economy in Baja California Sur, Maribel Collins, spoke during the third day of the International Tourism Fair, about new projects for the peninsula.

During a meeting that he held with the Mexican ambassador in Spain, Quirino Ordaz offered at his residence, also with the presence of the Federal Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, and different airlines and businessmen, Maribel Collins, affirmed that there are new projects to promote tourism in Los Cabos and the north of the state: "part of the negotiations we have with airlines is to open the routes from Loreto to GDL, which is about to start... we had agreements to have specific meetings on some investment projects brought by the government that headed by Professor Víctor Castro Cosío... the BCS government through API is working on the new port project... from Pichilingue they want to move it to the area in front of the phosphoric rock..." he advanced for this medium.

In addition, Manuel Díaz Cebrian, representative of Los Cabos in Europe, spoke about his twenty years of experience representing the destination on the other side of the world, highlighting the great importance that it has taken on in recent years: "... we have achieved an impact that I in I have seen few regions, there are regions that have had a trajectory here for many years and have not achieved what we achieved in seven, especially in this edition where Los Cabos has a presence of 20 industry representatives where we have a very decent space , a space that shows what Los Cabos is” he said, regarding the achievements made during this new installment of FITUR, where he highlighted the great influx of the event presented by Avoris and FITURCA.

  On the other hand, and no less important, Leonardo Perli, general director of Casa Dorada Los Cabos spoke about the relevance that the service has gained, since tourists seek to feel at home during their vacations, although, he assures, there is another aspect that is beginning to stand out and is the food, one of the main attractions of Mexico.

Thus concluded the participation of hoteliers, tourism service providers as well as the Los Cabos Tourism Trust team in the first three days of exposure and attention to the international tourism industry of the 43rd edition of Fitur, in Madrid Spain
