After three years of waiting, the 6th edition of the Ironman 70.3 tournament was held in Los Cabos

This weekend, the mayor of Los Cabos, Óscar Leggs, accompanied by the representative of the governor of Baja California Sur, Víctor Castro Cosío, Carlos Castro Ceseña and other authorities, gave the starting shot of the Ironman 70.3 Los Cabos 2022, which achieved summoning 1,587 athletes representing 37 countries that participated in this triathlon, it should be noted that fifteen of them are proudly from Los Cabos.

 

The Ironman 70.3 Series is made up of a circuit of competitions that consist of half the distances of an Ironman, that is, 1.9km of swimming, 90km of cycling and 21km of running.

 

Demonstrating one of its greatest values, the Ironman has become an inclusive event as it included the participation of Jesús Gilberto Domínguez, a wheelchair swimmer, as well as Luis Jesús "Kechu" Montoya, who is an experienced runner in distances of background, as well as the Paralympic adapted tricycle cyclist, Rodrigo Nyssen.
