With nine editions under its belt, the Los Cabos tennis tournament has established itself as one of the most important sporting events in Mexico and on the ATP 250 circuit. One of the new features is the incorporation of the Electronic Line Calling (ELC) system, which will replace linesmen with high-precision cameras to ensure accurate decisions. In contrast, he highlighted the sustained success of Los Cabos, which he attributed to the careful planning of 12 comprehensive tourism developments that have maintained a balance between growth and environmental conservation. As he explained, many of these projects—some initiated more than 30 years ago—are reaching their final investment phase, opening up a great opportunity for the municipality's tourism future in the four comprehensive developments yet to be started on the eastern edge of Los Cabos.

However, Sánchez Navarro warned that tourism success cannot be measured solely by economic benefits if it is not reflected in the well-being of the local population. In this regard, he pointed out the profound gap in social infrastructure and housing facing the municipality. He emphasized that Los Cabos' annual budget is insufficient to address these needs and that federal resources channeled through the state government are very limited.

Despite this challenge, the businessman recognized a key opportunity to solve the housing problem: the federal program for the construction of one million homes during this six-year term. To effectively leverage this initiative, he emphasized the urgent need for all three levels of government—federal, state, and municipal—to acquire land reserves and promote the regeneration of urban areas with precarious services.

In his speech, he also proposed that, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and in coordination with the country's municipalities, urban development plans be reviewed and updated. He emphasized that this process must include the participation of national and international experts to ensure not only excellence in planning, but also its proper implementation and enforcement.
